Rwanda | Burera: Kagogo residents to get electricity

Residents of Kagogo district in Burera district are about to get electricity before the end of 2012, according to Burera district administration.
Samuel Sembagare Burera district mayor said this March2012 during the visit of the governor of northern province Aime Bosenibamwe and other leaders in this province to the sector.
He said that Burera district with the support of EWSA (Energy, Water and Sanitation Authority) will bring electricity to this sector soon enough.
Samuel Sembagare went on to explain that EWSA had asked 300Million francs to this sector and the district has already paid half of this amount.
EWSA is already measuring where to put electricity poles and this electricity will also extend to Kinyababa sector which neighbors Kagogo sector.
Both these sectors are villages and the mayor said that bringing electricity to the village shows development of the country.
Kagogo residents are excited by the news that they are going to have electricity and they will never be in darkness again.
