Rwanda | Burera: Wind energy production to begin soon

In order to make good use of strong wind evident in Burera, the district authorities are planning to start a wind energy generating projects.
Samuel Sembagare, mayor for Burera district says that this place is located in the slopes of Muhabura called Nyagahinga in Cyanika sector where wind is ever blowing day and night.
Projects have been put in place so that ever blowing wind can generate electricity. In other countries like India, wind energy (Eoline) is used for electricity, explains Sembagare.
Sembagare asserts that the projects they have made will be presented to the ministry of infrastructure and EWSA so that they provide financial support for the implementation of the projects.
Using energy from the wind improve environment conservation in this place because no resident will cut the trees for timber. Instead, wind energy will replace firewood in cooking, notes Sembagare.
Wind power is the conversion of wind energy into a useful form of  energy, such as using wind turbines to make  electricity.
