District authorities in Burera have disclosed that a health centre is to be built in Gatebe sector in the near future, aiming at improving the service.
This followed the residents’ complaints that health services are too distant and the health centre receives 50 people every day, a number that is beyond the centers’ capacity.
Joseph Zaraduhaye, Burera vice mayor in charge of economic development confirms that Gatebe sector will get a health centre and that money for building it will be budgeted in the financial year 2013.
Zaraduhaye asked the local leaders of Gatebe to choose where the health centre will be built that is abit near to all residents.
Gatebe and Rugarama sectors are the only sectors left without health centres but in the near future, a health centre will be available for residents, confirms Zaraduhaye.
