Nyarubuye Memorial site situated in Nyarubuye sector in Kirehe district after being put on the National level memorial site has already collected about 28000 names for the genocide victims as a reference of those buried there.
According to Dieudonnée Kayitare a worker of CNLG a commission that is meant to fight and uproot genocide ideologies in Rwanda at Nyarubuye Memorial site, they have 28000 names and they are still collecting other.
He said that they intend to have the names of all people who are buried there by the time this memorial site is completed. He said that a part of the memorial site that shows how the genocide was carried out in Nyarubuye sector is already under construction.
Protais Murayire the mayor of Kirehe district said that rebuilding Nyarubuye Memorial site will take at least 3Billions francs.
