District administration in Nyamasheke says that they have taken a big step in providing good quality education but they still have a long way to go and they need to keep improving to get at 100 percent.
This was said by Innocent Musabyimana the president of Advisory council of Nyamasheke district. He said that they have already taken a big step in quality education but that they still need to make a bigger one.
Musabyimana said that they have to change many things in the welfare of teachers and students as this also contributes to achieving the quality education they desire.
In solving these problems, school fees were increased and teachers fund which will make students get enough of what they want at school and teachers to get enough allowances apart from their usual salary.
Musabyimana said, “if we need quality education we have to achieve but at a price.”
This was also said by Catherine Gatete an advisor and the vice mayor of Nyamasheke district for social affairs and who is in charge of education in this district. She said that have already achieved something but they have to look for a way keep on achieving.
Mrs. Gatete said that on the National examinations for primary level, students passed at 77.5percent, for O’ Level at 84.6percent and for A’ Level at 97percent.
