While commemorating 1994 genocide against Tutsi victims May 9th 2012, Indangaburezi secondary school administration asked students to spearhead fighting genocide ideologies.
Silvery Gatari, head teacher of Indangaburezi urged students to help residents in their areas of residents in preventing genocide ideologies, so that genocide never happens again in Rwanda or somewhere in the world.
“Be careful about politicians with bad intentions. You all know how bad politics led Rwanda to genocide,” Gatari asserted.
Martin Habimana, head of genocide survivors’ family at Indangaburezi secondary school, said that it is a great pleasure to see their school sparing time to remember their loved genocide victims.
Habimana adds that as knowledgeable students, they will never allow to be used by politicians who might intend to divide Rwanda through preaching genocide ideologies.
During the memorial, students remembered over 5000 bodies of 1994 Tutsi genocide survivors laid to rest in Ruhango memorial centre.
