Rwandan champions RRA will face less superior sides in their quest to win the African Women’s Clubs Championships which started on Thursday in Nairobi, Kenya.
Sixteen countries are in the race to qualify for Doha’s World Women’s Volleyball Clubs Championships.
RRA was drawn in Pool C against Kenyan Champions KCB, Ivory Coast’s Stella Club, Water sport (Ethiopia) and Stef Auto (Madagascar).
African Volleyball Queens Kenya Prisons, who are in Pool ‘B’ alongside Canon, Jeshi Stars (Tanzania) and VVA (Cote d’Ivoire) will play their matches at Africa Nazarene University.
Kenya Pipeline, who highlights Pool A opens their assault against Manga Sports of Gabon in the group that will be stationed at the Moi International Sports Centre.
The Pool also has Chlef (Algeria), Nkumba University (Uganda).
The winners of the annual championships qualify to represent Africa in this year’s FIVB World Clubs Championships to be staged in Qatar in October.
