On April 30th 2012, some of the cell leaders and sector workers revealed some of reasons as to why property repayment cases have delayed to be settled.
Local leaders point out that the reason behind the delay of property repayment issues is due to some residents who refuse to sell what they possess and pay what is required of them.
Others threaten people that if they will face trouble if they attempt buying their property.
Alphonse Munyentwari, Governor of Southern province stresses that property disputes are the hardest to settle but the local leadership should identify the hardest point and end disputes accordingly.
If it’s refusing to sell their belongings and pay, governor Munyentwari says:  “If the one to pay has a bar, put a sign showing its on sale and so to other properties, so that the complainants are compensated and disputes ended.”
Muhanga district mayor, Yvonne Mutakwasuku explains that property conflicts are at 95.1 percent and that 5percent of the cases are planned to be over within this month May 2012.
