Tom Close has finally broken his silence and given his own opinion on how he sees the developments in Primus Guma Guma Super Star. The star, who won the first season of the same competition, admits it has become tougher over the years, but that hasn’t stopped him from airing his piece of mind. The coveted prize of twenty six million Rwandan francs is up for grabs between the eleven contestants, and the competition is getting stiffer and stiffer every day.
But Tom, who has firsthand experience on how to win it, believes it will be tight until the last minute. He said, “I believe it’s hard to call, but for me I think either Dream Boyz or Knowless will emerge victorious.” Indeed Tom, as he put it, gave his point of view that sharply contrasts with what many pundits have predicted.
A leading local FM station recently highlighted the weaknesses of both Knowless and the Dream Boyz. Among them was their inability to engage the crowd during the road shows, their poor choice of songs as well as poor stage management. Apart from that, both Urban Boyz and Fireman have stepped up their campaigns and look as though they will be a hard nut to crack.
July 27th will see the first six candidates eliminated, which will pave way for the remaining five to battle it out in the final. The elimination shall take place at Kigali Serena Hotel from 6.00 pm.
