Nyamagabe district is evaluating the achievements of its partners in development in Non Governmental Organizations and all organizations operating in the district.
According to Philbert Mugisha the mayor of Nyamagabe district, this evaluation is to ascertain if the goals they set are achieved.
“The aim of this evaluation is to make sure if the projects these organizations vowed to achieve were really implemented or not. We move through the written repot and evaluate what is on the field to make sure it is the same project” says the mayor.
The mayor goes on to say this evaluation finds out local people’s participation in the implementation of these projects since they are the beneficiaries.
After this evaluation, the well done projects will be commended and the lacking ones will be discussed about. Strategies to make better projects in the future will also be discussed. A general report on the preparations, implementations and realizations of projects will also be made.
Projects for organizations like American Refugee Committee (ARC), ADRA and African Humanitarian Action (AHA) that operate in Kigeme Refugee Camp were evaluated on this Monday the 22nd.July.2013.
