On Saturday 27th July 2013, all roads will lead to Kigali Serena Hotel, where the first contingent of contestants in Primus Guma Guma Super Star will be shown marching orders. The six who will be eliminated will go home empty handed, but will have been in the limelight after staging ten road shows in different parts of the country. And it is no surprise that butterflies can be felt in the contestants’ stomachs.
And one crew that is all familiar with being eliminated is the Dream Boyz. The duo has been in all the three seasons of the reality TV show, but has never advanced past the second round of elimination. They have also always been among the first to be called on stage during the nomination, but they have failed to live to the expectations.
Speaking to rwandashow.com, Platini of the crew expressed enthusiasm and composure ahead of the big day, saying, “We know we have done enough, so there’s no need to worry as such. The fans have done their part and we have done ours. If we don’t go through, it’s not because we have failed but it will give us the courage to work extra hard next time.”
There will be prizes ranging from one to five million Rwandan francs which will be distributed among the four runners-up and Platini is not afraid to show an ambition to be among the top five. “Top five? Why not? In every competition there’s only one winner and we will be happy with whatever position we will land.” Already voting via short messages has ended this Friday 26th July, and all that is remaining is to wait and see who scoops the coveted prize of twenty six million Rwandan francs.
Dream Boyz stay put ahead of PGGSS elimination
