Kamichi backs Riderman

After being sent packing in the first round of Primus Guma Guma Super Star, afro beat singer Kamichi has thrown his weight behind rapper Riderman to win the competition. Riderman, who has seen his popularity greatly surge, is among the clear favorites to win it as well. Kamichi was eliminated alongside six of his compatriots that include Senderi, Fireman, Bulldog, Christopher and Danny and was among the first to accept defeat.

At the time he had said, “We have been fairly defeated, let’s accept it and move on. There is nothing hidden behind our elimination, it’s just that we were not up to it.” And while Senderi and Bulldog adamantly refused to concede defeat, Kamichi has taken an extra step and declared his full support of Riderman who still faces a daunting task of beating his fellow challengers that include the Urban Boyz, Dream Boyz, Knowless and Mico The Best.

Speaking of his admiration of Riderman, Kamichi said, “I want to ask my fellow friends and fans to now switch their attention to Riderman and vote for him in great numbers. In all the road shows, he showed us how much he’s appreciated and loved, and  that is the true meaning of a super star.”

It’s not just Kamichi who has fondly spoken of Riderman. Recently while in Rubavu, veteran musician Samputu declared that the rapper had a secret that made him loved all over the country, while Alex Muyoboke described him as “unbeatable”. All eyes are fixed on 10th August when the final winner will be crowned at Kigali Serena Hotel.
