Residents of Rwimiyaga sector in Nyagatare district on July 31 2012 expressed their gratitude over getting Itorero on village level that allows them participate in activities meant for them.
 This was revealed during the talk that gathered the head of Itorero in Nyagatare district, residents and some local leaders.
 John Mucunguramfizi, a participant says extending Itorero to the village is adding value to the residents.
 Mucunguramfizi expresses: “It gives us courage to look for solutions of our own problems and promotes interaction and good culture of friendship.”
 Nicolas Rwaka, Head of Itorero in Nyagatare district asserts it’s another step Rwanda government has taken in bringing closer good governance to residents and to improve their contribution in development activities.
 Rwaka stresses: “This is a channel in which residents and village leaders will find it easy to implement their performance contracts.”
 Apart from extending the Itorero to the village level, this program will extend to schools as well where children, youth and the old will be taught civic education.
