 Youths in Ruhango district have commended Techno serve for social and economic development after 3-month training on job creation.


The comments were made during a closing ceremony of the training that ended on October 11, 2013.


Techno serve is a nonprofit organization that develops business solutions to poverty by linking people to information, capital and markets


“After secondary school, all I could think of was to look for a job but the Techno serve training has changed my attitude, I am considering self employment,” said Janvier Niringiyimana, one of the trainees.

Angelique Tuyisenge, head of Strike project in Rwanda asserts that youth trained in the first phase have achieved a lot socially and economically due to working with banks.


He explains that after the training, youth are supervised for a period of nine months to make sure their ideas are implemented before they are left on their own.


During the event, Epimaque Twagirimana; vice mayor for economic affairs in Ruhango district commended development partners for their projects that complement governments development programs.


Glorious Niwemukobwa in charge of job creation program in the ministry of youth and ICT says the government of Rwanda continues to educate youths on job creation as a way to fight unemployment.


The training was attended by 213 youths from Ruhango district. It was the second training of the kind.
