Gospel artist Theo alias Bose Babireba has denied allegations he has been excommunicated in from ADEPR church as a result of recording a song with secular musician Ama G The Black.

Theo became famous for his song Bose babireba in the mid 2000’s, a track which became a hit in both gospel and secular arenas.

But he controversially did a collabo song with secular rapper Ama G The Black which left many people questioning his move and wondering if he’s still into gospel music. Rumors did their rounds on the internet and other social websites that he had been excommunicated, but he vehemently denied the news.

He said, “No, why would that happen? In music you choose who you feature alongside with and there is nothing wrong with my choice for Ama G. I can tell you that I am very much a member of my church, I have never been excommunicated.”

Gospel artists have in recent times more than interacted with their secular counterparts. Dominic Nic and Danny Vumbi are such a perfect example. Though Nic is into gospel, it’s not surprising that Danny will always spring at any given event that the former will be attending.

This has extended to an accelerating level that Danny, just a few weeks ago, scooped an award during the country’s only Gospel award ceremony, the Groove Awards Rwanda.
