Young Lil G has expressed has said that featuring with other artists is what makes one grow in the increasingly competitive music industry today.

Lil G was responding to a question by a journalist on how he could do a collabo song with legendary musician Mavenge Sudi whose music style is different from his.

The two partnered to redo Mavenge’s Gakoni k’abakobwa, giving it a modern and contemporary touch. But Lil G believes its part of the industry growth.

He said, “I am pleased with the way it came out. It’s a nice song and doing its remix was a great honor to me because Mavenge is one the country’s best veteran musicians.”

It has now become habitual for today’s artists to feature alongside the old folks in collabos. Kina Music studio, which first adopted the trend, recently threw the remix to the song Rubanda featuring Dream Boyz, Tom Close, Knowless Butera, Christopher and Makanyaga Abdoul.

Producers at Kina Music studio say that similar tracks are in the pipeline.
