Gatsibo: Ex-drug addicts train acquire project development skills

Former drug addicts in Gatsibo district have been undergoing training on establishing profitable projects that will get them out of poverty.

The one day training was conducted by BARAKABAHO foundation an association that aims at eradicating illegal drug use in Gatsibo district.

Participants were called upon to participate and seek help from ‘Hanga Umurimo’ program , a micro finance that provides funds to best proposals for small income generating enterprises.

“Use the knowledge from this training, inform others in your area of residence, participate in Hanga Umurimo project, risk investment then develop,” urged Liliane Murorunkwere, in charge of cooperatives and Hanga Umurimo Project in Gatsibo district.

Roger Umukiza, representative of Barakabaho, a drug fighting organisation said Gatsibo district would continuously train ex-drug users as a way to develop their mental capacity.

The training was organised by BARAKABAHO foundation an association aiming at eradicating drug abuse,in Gatsibo district.
