The members of Icyeza SACCO (Savings and Credit Cooperative) in Kanama sector in Rubavu district are grateful for the completion of a building for their SACCO worth Rwf17Million
The function to open this house coincided with the general meeting of Icyeza SACCO members to elect new leaders in the administrative council.
Four people were replaced in the administrative committee according to the expected rules by National Bank of Rwanda (BNR) in local advisory councils, either in cells, sectors or districts should not be in the administration of SACCOs as Nsanzimana Aloys explained.
SACCO Members are delighted by this deed of operating in their own building as Victoire Uwamariya said. “This is one of its assets, other SACCOs don’t have where to operate and many are renting.”
Icyeza SACCO started 2years ago after COOJAD RUBAVU cooperative and Kanama sector SACCO were brought together to form one cooperative that gave birth to Icyeza SACCO. Every member contributed Rwf6.000 for this building to be built.
