Following agricultural show exposed recently, Kirehe District Mayor, Protais Murayire asserts that the show was organized as a way of displaying different agriculture activities done in Kirehe district for economic development.
Agriculture is the main activity in Kirehe district, organizing the open day was to reveal the achievements of the district in agriculture department.
Mayor Murayire thanked agricultural cooperatives that participated in the open day and added that next year, farmers from other districts will be invited.
Augustin Ngabonziza, one of the participants says that they had come to learn various things and sharing ideas because people have different views and techniques.
During the event to close the open day, cooperatives that showed good conduct in livestock farming or crop farming were rewarded, whereby the first got Rwf500.000.
