Rwanda | Nyagatare: One Stop Centre to be introduced for land issues

The Advisory Council of Nyagatare District has held a meeting to look for a way to solve land problems and agreed to open a One Stop Centre that will be necessary for solving land issues.

Apart from land services, this One Stop Centre will be attending to people’s daily problems as Alcade Kamanzi the president of the advisory council of Nyagatare district said. “This centre will help people who would spend days running up and down looking for land documents and titles.”

The advisory council also decided that in a way of making it easy for people to pay their taxes, the account they will be paying in was shifted from Ecobank which had one branch in Nyagatare town and was bothering tax payers far from this town to Banque Populaire.
This meeting also confirmed district workers who have been on probation and about the issue of people who were built for houses by Benishyaka Association who want full ownership and land deeds but this was not accepted and more time will be taken to learn more about it and to make a firm decision.
The meeting also decided that VUP Umurenge  program be introduced in Katabagemu sector where in this district this program was in Rwempasha, Kiyombe, Mukama and Gutunda sectors.
