Rwanda Nyamasheke Residents 300x220 Rwanda | Nyamasheke: Residents urged to protect roads
Residents of Bushenge sector in Nyamasheke district have been asked to work on and maintain their roads so as to achieve development.
In the mid of May 2012, Charles Bahizi, vice mayor in charge of economic affairs in Nyamasheke district asked residents to maintain roads since they are the first to benefit from them.
“Leaders encourage residents to participate in community work putting emphasis on roads,” Charles Bahizi advises.
Bahizi adds that what community work cannot manage to do on roads, another method is used but residents have tom play their part in having roads in this sector maintained.
Sector agriculturalists together with leaders in charge of cell development should make sure that residents turn up for community work in big numbers, says Bahizi.
Vice mayor asked residents to value development activities if they want to develop their district and the country at large.
Bahizi further said that leaders should mobilize residents to participate in all government programs since they are designed to develop residents but with their help.
