Rwanda | MINEDUC, MINISPOC in sports talent search

The Ministry of Education in conjunction with the Ministry of Sports and culture are in planning talks on how early sports talents could be detected from schools.
This was discussed in a one day meeting that brought together officials from the two Ministries to chat ways through which young talents could be identified.
During the meeting, it was agreed that in order to get success in the endeavor, more efforts should be put in improving sports competition in schools.
It was also agreed that all stakeholders work together in developing sports like having a defined channel through which the detected talents could be forwarded when they complete secondary education.
Many ways on how to connect the schools’ sports associations and associations on the national level were forwarded.
It was noted that the national volleyball association whose collaboration with schools is on a good level has reaped from the good working relationship. It has resulted in good performance on African continent currently.
