Kayonza District worker in charge of cooperatives in Kabare sector- Kayonza district, Innocent Kamarampaka has asked youth to seek advice from the cooperative officials in studying income generating projects.
While the government encourages residents to create jobs, some youth from sectors that make Kayonza district are unemployed and some end up doing drugs due to idleness.
Although many claim to have no capital, the government of Rwanda sensitizes residents to form cooperatives so that the banks give them loans, explains Calliste Nahimana.
Kamarampaka narrates: “No one comes to us and we refuse to help, we help all people no matter how they are. CYBICO, the only youth transportation cooperative in Kabare sector, sought our help and it’s doing fine.”
He advises youth to join cooperatives in order to get financial support because two heads are better than one.
