Health advisors in Shangi and Bushenge sectors in Nyamasheke district closed a training by Peace for all ministries which is supported by Global fund (PFAM/SSF-HIV-GF) on this 1st.March.2012.
This training was meant to inform them about family planning, fighting against HIV/AIDS and circumcision so that they can be able to sensitize well the local population. This was said by Jean Baptiste Ukurikiyeyesu the director of PFAM/SSF-HIV-GF project.
He said that every health advisor should at least reach in 150 homesteads in his/her cell telling them the advantages of family planning, circumcision and calling upon them to fight HIV/AIDS. He asked them to work with the government in promoting its programmes.
Callixte Kayitera a health advisor said that they are going to sensitise all people and share with them about what they learnt in this training and even help them improve.
After this training, PFAM will be sensitizing people in all sectors so as to emphasise the teachings of the health advisors.
These health advisors are in a cooperative and every person will be given Rfw30, 000 and the cooperative will get Rfw300, 000 for self development.
