The tournament will attract 8 countries from Africa, namely: Kenya, Congo, Algeria, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Rwanda and Tanzania.
The winner of the tournament will represent the continent of Africa in this year’s Olympic Games in London, England. The Secretary General of Rwanda Volleyball Federation, Ms. Gertrude Kubwimana said that it was no surprise that Rwanda was chosen to host the tournament because it has become a force to reckon with in the game.
Ms. Gertrude added that it was a privilege to host such a prestigious tournament, saying that hopefully, Rwanda will emerge victorious and win it because they will be playing on home soil. The tournament will be held from 22nd to 26th May this year. The corresponding tournament in the men’s category will be held from 12th -15th April this year in Mauritius.
