Nyabihu district has embraced the government’s program of fertilizing cows especially those of provided through ‘Girinka Munyarwanda’ program where 12 sectors in the district are involved.
In Mukamira sector, about 15 cows were artificially inseminated by the district veterinary and Mukamira sector veterinary officers. This is meant to increase the number of cows in Rwandan and to have good quality of cows with much milk so as to promote the welfare of Rwandans.
This program is being implemented in Nyabihu district as Eugene Shingiro the veterinarian in Nyabihudistrict said. All people are being called upon to participate in this program and cows that are at least 2 and half old and more will be fertilized, while those cows that were given in Girinka program are being fertilized for free.
