Rwanda’s music industry continues unveil talent, the latest singer on the block is The Momo.

Born Maureen Mbabazi but known by many on stage as The Momo started singing way back in 2010 as a backup singer for many local artistes.

The promising diva revealed her music plans to Tukabyine.com and promised music fans.

“I have already established vital connections in music industry that will develop my career,” says The Momo.

The singer is working under Narrow road studio in Kicukiro.

The Momo boasts of songs like Ndamufite, Babimenye and Narakwiyeguriye.

Although she is new on music scene, singer The Momo has managed to attract lots of fans due to her vigorous dancing while she performs.

The number of female artistes in Rwanda is still low compared to the men. This is due to various challenges like sex exploitations in the industry.

Rwanda boasts various established female artistes like Miss Jojo, Miss Shannel, Paccy, Knowless, Queen Cha.
