Rwanda Family Health Project is set to start health services expansion in 22 districts of Rwanda in 5 years.
The project will start its activities on August 28th2012 in Eastern province and proceed to other provinces of Rwanda.
The project administrators assert its activities will focus on facilitating the existing hospitals and health units in providing reproduction health services like mothers and children, Aids prevention and nutrition.
During the visit, Madeleine Byukusenge in charge of good governance in Eastern province asked Rwanda Family Health Project officials to focus the activities on sensitising residents on caring for their health and using family planning methods.
The purpose of the project is to provide necessary equipments for the hospitals, HIV/AIDS testing, pharmaceuticals distribution and recruiting more workers in health centres and hospitals.
