The Prime Minister Dr. Pierre Damien Habumuremyi has received a delegation of the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) who called on him at his Primature offices over the weekend.
The delegation was led by its Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairman of CHAI Ira C. Magazine.
During discussions with Prime Minister, Ira presented their two projects ready for implementations. The projects are the Human Resources for Health Program and the Fight against Malnutrition Program.
Prime Minister Habumuremyi thanked the delegation for their partnership and good collaboration with Government of Rwanda in its development priorities.
Highlighting the importance of the two projects for Rwanda and its people, Prime Minister promised the Government support during projects implementation.
The Premier also urged the Ministry of Health to continue working closely with Clinton Health Access Initiative to ensure full success of the activities towards positive impact on the people of Rwanda.
The goal of the HRH Program is to build a sustainable world class health system through the development of a specialized workforce capable of handling Rwanda’s growing burden of non-communicable diseases.
Fight against malnutrition is also a program planned to start soon as a first initiative in Africa that will be based on the use of the production of local farmers and put in place a food industry that will allow children less than 6 years to get quality food and grow healthy.
