Cranes step up preparation ahead of Cecafa challenge


The Uganda Cranes begun their residential training at Namboole Stadium on Wednesday morning ahead of the Saturday friendly game against Rwanda Amavubi Stars to be played at the same venue

Cranes Coach Micho Sredejovic has had a several training sessions during the past weekends with all the Super League Players at Lugogo KCC FC Ground as a build up for the Cecafa Tournament due this month in Nairobi -Kenya.

Several players have been called and dropped during these weekend training sessions as a way to get used with National team tactics and atmosphere.

The Cranes will name a strong squad next week after the friendly that will enter residential training before they jet to Kenya for the Cecafa assignment.

Coach  Sledejovic has cautioned all the players to keep working hard because the tournament  “is not for boys rather for men” and he hopes to name a strong squad for the  annual tournament  as they aim at defending the title .The squad will be named later this week.
