Nyanza: EWSA promises better services to clients

Various leaders who had attended EWSA Open Day

The Energy, Water and Sanitation Authority (EWSA) has promised provision of better services to customers in Nyanza town and neighbouring areas following massive complains of its poor service delivery.

The promise was made to its clients on Friday, November 1, 2013 during the open day of EWSA’s achievements and its objectives in the financial year 2013/2014 and in the future.

Though there are still loopholes in service delivery like distribution of water to its clients, EWSA is working on this issue as well as all services so as to provide better services on the daily basis to its clients.

Director of EWSA in Nyanza Omar Kambanda answering people’s questions

Omar Kambanda the director of EWSA branch in Nyanza district explained the reasons why most people’s outcry for the power in the district hasn’t been met.

“Some people reside in poor areas that we cannot reach now but we will definitely give them power after acquiring the equipment needed to access those areas.”

Omar Kambanda also explained the unstable power supply in most areas admitting that there is power shortage and confessed that the on and off problem is a result of regulating electricity supply among clients. He promised the issue is being worked on for a permanent solution

People took time to ask questions and have them answered

Jean Bosco Kanyesheja the in charge of sanitation said EWSA is yet to provide its clients with good services and solving all their problems but it is doing everything in its capacity to settle that. “While EWSA is doing all it can to provide with you better services, you should also take care of the equipment provided in your localities.” he said

On the EWSA open day, people were given chance to ask questions, complaints and answers were given. People were told to always raise complains where necessary or report any worker who will provide them with poor services to their leaders so as to correct the mistake.
