Mani Martin and band scoop third place at Francophonie in France

Mani Martin and his Kesho Band scooped third place and a bronze medal at this year’s Francophonie awards being held in France. Together with Ras Kayaga and Kesho Band, they teamed up to beat off the challenges of more than ten other artists to reach the finals.

The trio were the representatives of Rwanda and make up Benegihanga Music Group, a music band that plays Rwandan traditional music. Mani Martin has sprung to the music scene with his own self imposed style that is a blend of traditional and contemporary music. Other countries that qualified for the final are Austria, Burkina Faso, Lebanon and Haiti.
