As a way of inspiring youth to serve their country, over 180 youth attended Ingando on voluntary activities, where they are told to work without profit expectation for the country’s development.
During Ingando volunteering in building classrooms for 9YBE (Nine year basic education) and 12YBE (twelve years basic education), helping the vulnerable, protecting the environment and making manure from garbage were emphasised.

Ingando started on August 6th 2012 led by Jean de Dieu Sibomana, Head of Rusizi youth centre who asked them to personalise volunteering especially boys since they are the strength of the country.
Sibomana encouraged youth to protect themselves from drugs that destroy their brains and bodies leading to failure of serving their nation.
Some of the participants confirm they have understood the importance of serving the country through volunteering for example schools and for the vulnerable residents.
Ingando is organised to last for a week teaching youth to be beneficial to their country basing on development.
