Nyamasheke Shangi sector confirms security stability Rwanda | Nyamasheke: Shangi sector confirms security stability
Aimé Fabien Kamali, executive secretary of Shangi sector has said residents should strive for socio-economic development because security is now stable in this area.
The statement was during the general security meeting that gathered residents of Shangi sector and Nyamasheke district authorities on August 6th 2012.
Kamali denotes: “In general there is tight security in Shangi sector and residents are busy looking for what can make them develop and develop their country.”
However, there are some cases like domestic violence and accidents that claimed people’s lives in the sector.
An example are Perpetue Mukandinda aged 52 years resident of Shangi fell down before her house and died on spot on August 3rd 2012 and Zakayo Uwizeyimana of Karambi village, Mpumbu cell in Bushekeri sector who died in the mine.
During the meeting, residents were asked to cooperate with the police and defense forces in keeping their security and that of their neighbours.
Charles Bahizi, vice mayor in charge of economic affairs in Nyamasheke district asked residents to strive to eradicate anything that tampers with their security.
In addition to being encouraged to embrace all government programs, residents were explained on insecurity in the Democratic Republic of Congo and how Rwanda is not part of it.
