Building Collapses in Nyagatare Town, 3 Dead

A Four storied building in the center of Nyagatare town has collapsed burrying an unspecified number of people.

In the latest development; one person trapped below the rubble has telephoned saying they are many trapped below, “find a way to rescue us,” he said.

Residents of Nyagatare town have continued to arrive at the site to rescue trapped workers.

Sources Have told IGIHE that rescue teams have arrived at the site.

A source on ground told IGIHE, 3 died, 13 rushed to hospital and the owner of the building has also been hurt in the collapse.

The storied Building belonging to Barigye Geoffrey was under construction near Engen Petrol station .
