URBAN BOYZ TOP LIST OF KINGS OF REMIXES

URBAN BOYZ TOP LIST OF KINGS OF REMIXES
A scene from the video clip Ibitenge
They have featured in almost every hit song, forcefully and cunningly made it theirs on several occasions. Urban Boyz have topped the list of local musicians one may be compelled to label “Kings of Remixes.” FromBagupfusha Ubusato Ibitenge, you would think they are always ready to pounce on every opportunity to get a remix of every song.
Bagupfusha Ubusawas originally sung by King James alone. The song talks of a girl whose boyfriend constantly neglects, and although it received heavy criticism from some fans, labeling it immoral, it was voted as the song of the year at Salax Awards. Ama G The Black, Urban Boyz and King James feature in the remix which, by no doubt, is far much better than the original.
Ibitenge, whose video was released last week, is also a remix of the original Biracyaza by King James. Again, hip hop kingpin Ama G The Black and Urban Boyz feature alongside King James. The theme of the song was completely changed from the original in which King James talks about how good things are still ahead, in a way persuading someone (probably a girl) to be more patient. If the Urban Boyz are the pioneers of these two remixes and maybe many more to come, then there is no harm in attaching a tag that reads, “Kings of Remixes” onto their collars
