Bank of Kigali unveils visa cards for rural clients

Bank of Kigali has unveiled Visa cards for its rural clients as one of the interventions aimed at taking services nearer to the people.

Adolphe Ngunga, the bank’s head of retail branch network, said the new electronic banking products would help clients save time and money.

Ngunga was addressing an annual meeting of Bank of Kigali rural clients in Kayonza and Rwamagana districts.  

He noted that point of sales machines accept visa international cards.  “The bank has invested in modern expertise to raise competence, lower operating costs and take banking services closer to clients,” he said over the weekend.

“On credit cards and ATM withdrawals, which usually offer better exchange rates and lower fees. You can withdraw money from your local account while in Europe or elsewhere,” he said.
