Emmanuel Kamanzi, President of JADF-Burera
Emmanuel Kamanzi, President of JADF-Burera says that 3rd open day will take place in Rusumo trading centre in Butaro sector in Burera district.
This follows after JADF signed performance contracts with Samuel Sembagare, mayor of Burera district on February 6th 2013 to promote investment in Burera district.
The two days public accountability will be meant to encourage investors to invest in agriculture and tourism for the social and economic development of Burera residents.
Tourist attractions include Burera and Ruhondo lakes, hills, Rugezi swamp and other sites which are now lying idle due to lack of motels for tourists in Burera district.
Though tourism is not developed, Burera residents depend on agriculture where they harvest for many markets in and outside the country but there are no factories for agricultural products.
Kamanzi explains that these performance contracts will be executed in five years time but were pledged to attract investors into building hotels and agricultural factories in Burera district.
