During the community work on June 30th 2012, Minister of Defence General James Kabarebe told Kitazigurwa residents in Rwamagana district that liberation is to have security and welfare among residents.
During community work that local defense joined residents in, Major Kabarebe asserted: “There cannot be liberation when residents are in poverty.”
Ministry of defense reveals that the participation was meant to lay the foundation for the building of phase two 68 exemplary village settlements in Ntebe and Kitazigurwa in Muhazi sector.
65 houses were built in the first phase and more 100 houses will be built in future, remarks Nehemia Uwimana, Rwamagana district mayor.
The beneficiaries are the vulnerable residents through the government program that builds houses for the residents in poor houses.
Among the attendees were Dr. Alivera Mukabaramba, executive secretary in charge of social affairs in the local government, Lt Gen Charles Kayonga and Odette Uwamariya, Governor of Eastern province.
