The advisory council of Gatsibo district has approved the district’s budget for 2012-2013 which is more than Rwf10 billion to be allocated in projects development including more infrastructures such as roads, clean water to people, building several market places among others.
Among this budget, there is money worth 2.7million francs to teach illiterate adults in this district who are still many to read and write.
About 50percent of this budget will be used in development projects that will make the district attain development quickly like putting security lights on streets in towns in this district.
The problem of water shortage will be worked on and the allocated funds for it are 85Million francs which will be used to reconstruct water sources like Nyakagezi-Nyarubuye and Bureranyana-Gasange water sources which will increase the number of people with clean and pure water from 60percent.
Gatsibo district increased the budget compared to the one for the last economic year 2011/2012 which was about Rwf8.6 Billion. Among the projects that will be worked on in this budget include building Kabarore Guest House which will be worth Rwf64Million.
