Gatsibo: Community health workers get Bicycles

Community Health workers in Kageyo sector of Gatsibo district have been given bicycles to ease their daily work as a way of improving customer care.


The beneficiaries especially women and children confirm that health workers are doing a great work after they were given the facilitation.


Speaking to ubuzimabwacu.com, health workers said that bicycles help them get to distant places in a short time.


This is confirmed by Medard Bapfakurera, a community health worker in Kageyo sector saying that the bicycle enables him get to the residents in time.


“Before it could take me time to reach where I was called to offer help. But now it’s easier with the help of a bicycle.”


Felecita Kasine, head of community health workers in Kageyo sector highlights that this program is beneficial especially to the residents in remote areas.


The bicycles were donated by Gatsibo district administration funded by World Vision which is one of the development partners in the district.


World Vision International (Rwanda) is a Christian, Child focused, Humanitarian, Development, Relief and Advocacy Non-governmental Organization implementing projects/programmes in over 13 districts of Rwanda.
