Uchumi starts Day One trading on RSE

Uchumi starts


Today on RSE, the market recorded 13,000 BoK shares and 1,800 Bralirwa shares valued at Rwf 3, 852,000 in three deals compared to the previous trading session which recorded 33,300 BOK shares; 800 Bralirwa shares and 3,600 Uchumi Supermarket shares that were valued at Rwf 7, 116,000 in nine deals.


 


The RSE share index (RSI) remained unchanged compared to the previous trading session of 216.88 as the most active counters, BoK and Bralirwa remained unchanged from the previous closing prices of Rwf 180 and Rwf 840 respectively.


 


BoK and Bralirwa shares traded and closed at Rwf 180 and Rwf 840 respectively whereas Uchumi Supermarket counter was quiet with no shares recorded. KCB shares last transacted at Rwf 175 while NMG shares last transacted at Rwf 1,200.


 


At the end of formal trading hours, there were outstanding bids of 502,700 BoK shares between Rwf 179-180 and outstanding offers of 349,200 shares between Rwf 182-195. On Bralirwa counter, there were outstanding offers of 1,404,500.


Uchumi Supermarket shares began trading at the Rwanda Stock Exchange on Monday after the retail chain received approval from authorities to cross-list 265,426,614 shares as it seeks to strengthen its regional foothold.
