Reconciliation and forgiveness are strong pillars in implementing development plans; Intwararumuri Unity club highlighted this during their 6th congress meeting which took place on the October 12, 2013.
This congress also discussed the ‘I am a Rwandan’ Program which was also the theme of the 2 day congress that was held in Gabiro, Gatsibo district.
The congress discussed extensively the value of telling the truth about the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi.
Club members made oath to the First Lady, Jeannette Kagame who was also the Chief guest on holding on to hope, patriotism and development.
The congress saw 300 participants including local leaders, members of the Unity Club, government officials, private Sector representatives and opinion leaders come together.
The Congress ended with the opening of the annual program of Unity and Reconciliation Awareness Week, at the National level
