RWANDA National Olympic and Sport Committee have reached an agreement with high-profile Italian sportswear manufacturer, Errea to dress all national teams in the country.

Errea was the first sportswear company to be accredited with the Oeko-tex standard certification, which assures that garments textiles are free from harmful chemicals.

The local Olympic Committee boss Robert Bayigamba said recently that the agreement will see Errea providing sportswear for all national teams at a cheap price.

“The aim of this development is to ensure that all our national teams have the same dressing code while representing the country at any competition on the globe. We have a direct contact with the manufacturer and we agreed to have good rates at our own chosen design,”

“We are delighted to start working closely with Errea to improve the presentation and performance of our national teams through the provision of high-quality technical sportswear,”

“We also want the company to have an agreement with our local clubs or schools featuring in different sports disciplines at a cost-effective price. We also want to connect them with local sports shops such that they can see how they can partner to have the sports wear on the local market,”

Errea Sport, founded in 1988, are an Italian company specialising in the production of technical sportswear and are regarded as one of the leading brands at both national and international level.

Errea is involved in a number of sports including football, volleyball, basketball, rugby union, rugby league, handball and baseball. Its current Serie A partners are Parma F.C., Atalanta B.C. and Delfino Pescara 1936.
